Internet Explorer
If you have trouble accessing your patron record it may be because your computer's Internet browser software needs updating. Versions of Internet Explorer prior to Version 6 Service Pack 1 are known to cause problems with the patron record access feature of SUNCAT.
To see what version of Internet Explorer you are using:
- from the Internet Explorer toolbar
- click Help
- click About Internet Explorer
- the version of the software you are using will be displayed
- if it is a version before Internet 6 SP1 then you need to upgrade your software
To upgrade your Internet Explorer software:
- go to Microsoft Internet Explorer download site - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.mspx
- follow instructions from Microsoft
AOL
If you are an AOL customer you may receive an error message "Protocol Not Supported", or "Pre-Http 1.0" when trying to view your patron record.
Patrons using AOL's Internet service should minimize AOL before they arrive at the library site and open the full version of Internet Explorer from their Windows Desktop. Using this browser, type in the library address and then proceed to View Your Patron Record.
