Librare is a collaborative collection development project that brings netLibrary e-books to library users in west central Florida. Thirty-one TBLC libraries participate in this project to share resources and work together to test drive this new development in library services.
The project makes over 2,300 electronic books available to library users. Library users can check out e-books on a wide range of topics from Shakespeare to medicine, from computer programming to business and finance.
eBooks are full-text electronic versions of published books that "e-borrowers" can search, borrow, read and return over the World Wide Web. To become an e-borrower and check out e-books from Librare you must first create an account on a computer at your local library. Once created, you can use your account to log in from any computer with Internet access. You don't need a special reader or other device to enjoy these e-books. ______________________________________________________________________________ |
